Verdict

Has it really been a week already? Time certainly flies when you’re determining your future. Also, when at the same time you are reading The Help.

I will spare you the details again, except to say while we are still weighing the job decision, we have officially selected a new hometown.

For me, the answer came last weekend at the mall (for the record, this is not the first time the heavens have spoken to me at Macys). Fortunately for Jack, this particular revelation was on clearance. Only $9.92. (Original price: $75.00)

Tell me it wasn’t a sign.

I have never purchased a snow bib before, nor have I ever strapped one onto a child. And while I wouldn’t recommend doing so at 3:00 in the afternoon on a hot day, the accomplishment gave me a sense of confidence. I'm ready to tackle a new adventure, and we feel quite certainly that DC is the place. Phoenix, we love you. We will always love you. But for now, I think we are better off as friends. Sniff.

And speaking of friends, thank you everyone for your feedback. I read and loved every comment. Each gave me a new angle to consider, and a reason to appreciate you. Boy, I hope the east coast has internet access. I really hate goodbyes.

For a minute I was confused. I couldn't tell if Calvin was headed for cold weather or if your third offer was with NASA.

How lucky is DC!!

I must have looked at your blog last night right as you were putting this up because I went to comment and it wouldn't let me, and then the post disappeared! I'm glad it's back...and I'm glad you were able to decide, isn't it great to get those "answer moments", it's such a relief! When will you be moving? Although I have no advice for DC, any time you are ready for a New England adventure I'll be waiting!

We can't wait to come for long and adventurous visits!! Lucky, lucky DC to have you guys. I know someday we will be neighbors again so for now I am good with this choice and excited for the adventure it will be.

He looks like an olympic snowboarder! Go USA! I can't wait to read new exciting blog posts, and to have a tour guide when we come visit! I hope Jack loves his new job and may be the experience will inspire you to write your best selling novel! You know, in all your spare time!

I support your decision as long as there are more photos like these of Cal and the girls. As I have mentioned, there is nothing cuter than kids in snow gear. Since I seem destined to be content with following your life via blog, this is my only stipulation.

Wait. They sell snowsuits in Southern California? Huh? Cal is seriously cute. Congrats on your revelation and associated clearance find. And congrats on THREE job offers. That's awesome.

Now I have somewhere to crash when we go to DC!!

Oh sad, for me that is. My motives for where you live are purely selfish. We may be moving to AZ, hopefully. That is so exciting for you. What a change. By the way could Cal be any happier in snow gear? What a cutie.

YAY!! SAD :( So many emotions.

I need a time frame here.

And don't try to be elusive like some other people we know.

Wow, DC! So exciting! And since you are moving from SB the housing market will seem quite reasonable. ;)

Wait...this means I better paint and decorate my house before you move out here! I guess it is too late to change my vote.

P.S. **Warning once you catch Potomac Fever, you can never move back home. It is very contagious.**
