How'd we get so lucky?
You might think this an unfortunate location, but my girls are convinced that ours is the most coveted property on the central coast. How many kids do you know who get to watch the garbage man unload massive quantities, four times a week, from the comfort of their own home?
Certainly not those unfortunate children down the street...The ones in sprawling million-dollar homes with ocean views and only a single, plastic, pathetic excuse for a trash can - the kind that does nothing to showcase the garbage man's strength and valor.
I guess some people just have more than others.

That is hilarious. My niece, Jane, also has a "thing" for the garbage man. She drops everything when she hears the truck hit their street and she gets really upset if she misses the action.
ReplyDeleteIt is a spectacular sight, If I might say so myself. Wow, I could never imagine it 4x/week! I'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with those pictures! You are so funny, love this post.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that picture of Leah? I love her

Kate you are too much, I envy your location. At least you have a big garbage can. You should see my driveway right now. I should send you a picture just so you feel better. You're girls are so funny. They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteI should say I envy your garbage can:) And who doesn't want to live 1/2 mile from the beach?
ReplyDelete"Strength and valor" are two words I've never heard describe a garbage man before.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry, but that is brilliant.
ReplyDeletei sure miss family student housing when i see pics like that. canon is crazy for the trash truck so we are out on the curb every monday morning just waiting. (and then of course on tues mornings for the lawn mowers, wed for the street sweeper, you get the picture...)what he wouldn't give to be back in sb for 4x a week! i loved the pics.
ReplyDeleteI love that Leah leans to one side. She is less than two and already has a little sas in her step. I love it.
