Wildfires & Manhunts

.
It's been quite a week, watching Goleta burn from our back porch. We've been cleaning ash out of our apartment, breathing in ridiculous amounts of smoke, and listening to evacuation notices on AM radio.

Apparently, all of this has made Leah realize that life is precious.

On Friday, she decided it was time for her first kiss.

We were at the church eating breakfast...The second her pancakes were finished, she hunted down this handsome little guy and went for it.

Way to go Leah! I love the series of pictures, and especially love his look of confusion.

Nothing makes me happier right now than to know you had your camera there at that moment. I am in absolute love with those pictures. I just wish I was her fist kiss, lucky boy.

Go get 'em Leah! What are you teaching this kid Katie? Immodesty and kissing boys at this age? She's going to be borrowing the car by the time she turns 5!

You'd better watch out for this one! Like you said, she's the risk taker in the family. She's willing to put it all out there and make her life exciting!

Darling photos!
