Be Prepared

I think Jolie is a lot like me.

Before I had kids, I carried a pretty small purse. Now, every time I leave the house I find it necessary to pack for every conceivable scenario. That's a lot of stuff.

I told Jolie she could take her doll for a walk in her stroller. This was not as simple as I thought it was going to be, as she first insisted on preparing...

Roughly twenty minutes later, she emerged from her room with this (2 blankets, 6 burp cloths, 3 bottles, 4 toy dolls, 1 rattle, 1 teething ring, 1 red velvet purse, and a purple beaded bracelet).

Yes, I think we're good.

That is so funny! Bella can't even believe how much stuff is in her stroller. She is one prepared Mama!

Ok, yeah. She's exactly like you. Kind of endearing, isn't it?

I like this comparing notes on Jack and Todd thing. Todd's obsessed with peanut M&Ms. OBSESSED. In fact, I need to go buy him some after work because I put a bag in his presents every holiday (today's his b-day). He's so funny though, because sometimes, he'll go buy a package of the individually wrapped ones so he'll consume less at a time and ration himself. He's very fat conscious. :) I don't think Jack ever had/ever will have a fat potential problem. What about Parkay "butter"?? Todd would buy it by the loads if he wasn't married to me. I HATE that crap.

I love that story! I must be like you, I sometimes call my diaper bag my bag-o-tricks. I bring everything but the kitchen sink with me, everywhere.

Katie, I would describe you as manic-ly prepared, in a good way. Dan calls my purse my 72 hour kit. Nice, thanks babe.

Nothing about this seems weird to me! Aren't you supposed to take blankets, burp cloths, bottles, toy dolls, a rattle, a teething ring, and a purple beaded bracelet when you take walks?! And I know I never leave the house with out MY red velvet purse! :)

Actually, I didn't see any Q-tips, markers, bows, or speakers in her stash so she could have been A LITTLE more prepared.

this is so great. i'm glad you are capturing these precious moments and treasuring them. ok, that sounded like i'm your grandma or something, but it is so funny and i love it! reminds me to do the same for my kids, meaning: not get impatient! there is usually a very good and cute reason they are doing what they do!

One of the most valuable lessons I learned in college was also one of the simplest. A religion professor once asked me to describe...
