When Leah enters a room, it is usually at full speed and full volume. So when she approached me today slowly and with her head down, I knew something was up.
Sure enough, there was an entire wad of gum mashed into her bangs.
I figured the poor thing must be terrified to fess up. So, I took mercy and knelt down to her level.
1. If her bangs were long enough, you could make her stand close to the freezer, so close in fact that her bangs are IN the freezer, to help with the ease of removal. I know this from PERSONAL experience. I've had a kid stand VERY close to the freezer to freeze off the gum! Not kidding, sadly! (She had verrrrrrrrrrrry long hair!)
I want to adopt Leah. Ship her to North Carolina, and I'll get her a pet zebra from the Lazy 5 Ranch. The three of us can have a very happy life together.
I love that no matter my mood, I can always open your blog and it will be even better in seconds! This picture is darling and deserves to be framed on your wall!
Did she even know it ended up in her bangs...was she looking for it? This picture tells a thousand words, however, not the outcome I would've expected. She's hilarious!
Oh, please tell me you gave her more gum!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!
Ha ha!!! Wonderful story and even better picture.
ReplyDeleteMe and James laughed out loud reading this. When she comes to visit, I am going to give her all the gum in the world.
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious!

ReplyDeleteI freaking LOVE that kid. She brings joy to my heart!
ReplyDeleteHow precious, probably not to you though. You can't fault her on the honesty.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I don't have bangs. Can't chew gum and expect it to stay out of those pesky bangs.
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny!
