Duly Noted

Today is Cal's 5-month birthday.

To celebrate, I spent the afternoon sorting photos from the day he was born.

This is the first picture we took when we arrived at the hospital, and certainly one of my favorites. When the elevator doors opened to the labor and delivery floor, we were warmly greeted.

First thought: Huh

Second thought: Really?

Third thought: Is there a reason you're telling me this?

I'm not saying it isn't important. I'm sure it's muy importante. I just think the sign might have been better placed in...say...an employee break room, rather than...say...the lobby.

But what do I know? Maybe someday this bit of information will prove useful (although I shudder to envision such a scenario).
